In the mid-90s, the Gaja family, Barbaresco and Langhe wines giant, bought the Santa Restituta estate in Montalcino, near the homonymous country church. In 2005, he started the production of Brunello di Montalcino with the passion and skill that distinguished him and made his wines famous all over the world. Brunello di Montalcino Santa Restituta is born from Sangiovese Grosso grapes from four vineyards on the estate, matures a year in barriques and a year in oak barrels; it is a wine of great finesse, scented with flowers, red fruits and balsamic herbs, soft and persistent on the palate, which sublime expresses the excellence and quality of Gaja wines.
