Wine Habit is the wine shop of Enomania.
In 2018 when Enomania was expanded, we opened Wine Habit to give our customers the possibility to buy the wine they had tasted and enjoyed during their dinner.
Wine Habit and Enomania collaborate with the best Danish wine importers.
This way, we can offer a selection of superior quality wines from the best wine districts of the world, focusing on Burgundy, Piedmonte and Tuscany.
Who is behind Wine Habit?
I am Mario Polignano, educated as a sommelier by the Italian Sommelier Association in Piedmont in 2010.
I am a wine lover, and I have worked for more than 20 years in the hospitality business between the North and South of the Country.
In 2012 I decided to move to Copenhagen and continue my journey into the world of wine.
Experiences in Denmark.
My first year as a sommelier in Denmark was at the restaurant Il Grappolo Blu in Copenhagen, famous for their selection of Brunello di Montalcino. The years at La Buca Degli Artisti deepened my knowledge of Barolo wines in particular.
In 2016, my adventure at Enomania began, and I started working with Damiano Alberti, the owner of Enomania and partner of Wine Habit.
Our Mission.
We have decided not to create a classic shop where you can buy wines online; there are already too many.
We believe in creating a relationship with our customers, listening, understanding what they are looking for and, advising them based on their personal tastes.
After many years working in the hospitality business, I have acquired, I believe, a good ability to communicate about wine with our guests, both with people who have a good knowledge of wine and with people who are just starting their journey.
If there is something I have learned from over twenty years of experience, you never fully “know a wine.”
There is always something new to learn and experience about a wine, especially when sharing the moment with others.
